XM and Sirius announce merger Very interesting stuff.... Not sure how I feel about this. Competition is usually an important thing but in this case, I dont know how long either company could survive independantly. Both have been having issues because the cost of maintaining the satellite infrastructure is extremely expensive.... if they could both share the same infrastructure and gain the entire user base then they could become profitable.
